Opportunities
Working with Professor Abrams
I regularly hire undergraduates, Ph.D. and law students for empirical law and economics research projects.
Requirements
Many of these RA positions will benefit from prior quantitative RA work (in the quantitative social sciences, statistics, engineering, or sciences). Programming and agentic AI experience is a huge plus, as is experience with Stata or R. But there are also positions for those with less technical knowledge who are very interested in the subject matter and willing to work hard. Hard work and diligence are essential for all positions.
Applying
Please email Professor Abrams (dabrams@upenn.edu) with the following:
- Explanation of interest in these projects (specify which).
- One paragraph description of prior RA work (if any).
- Any coursework in the following fields: Economics, Statistics, Math, Hard Sciences.
- Programming experience (including R or Stata, Python, JavaScript, Heroku, Git, ArcGIS, agentic AI) if any.
- Please attach a resume and unofficial transcript (for college sophomores or above) as PDFs.
